I began my journey in acupuncture as a patient with severe chronic headaches that began after the birth of my second child. After exhausting what Western medicine had to offer me I turned to acupuncture. I was simply desperate. After my first acupuncture appointment I felt, for the first time, that I was being seen and heard by a practitioner. She told me "Don't worry, I promise I will help you". And she did. In more ways than just the pain relief.
As my children went off to school, so did I, energized by my excitement about this medicine and my headache free state of wellness. I received a Masters in Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health after three intense years of study and clinical work. Now I focus on what I love, which is reuniting patients with their body's wisdom and coaching them on ways to enhance their wellness.
I'm confident that acpuncuture will benefit anyone in lessening symptoms and gaining a better understanding of how our bodies speak their needs to us. It is a thousand year old tradition that I'm honored to be a part of.
